Bighorn Express was founded in January 2025 to meet the transportation and delivery needs of the Alice/St. Mary's Glacier community.
Our founder, originally from The Woodlands, Texas, has always had a passion for hands-on work. After starting Rusty’s Garage in high school, he went on to run the auto shop after college.
Eventually, he moved to Colorado, where he got involved in a cannabis venture, but it was his move to St. Mary’s Glacier in 2018 that truly set the stage for Bighorn Express.
Upon settling on the mountain, he quickly realized how much the community lacked reliable services. He began offering help with home repairs, plumbing, and various other needs, which led to the creation of Pats Projects in 2019.
As short-term rental properties grew in the area, the need for handyman services exploded. By 2025, as transportation needs became more evident—rides to town, ski resorts, and local events—he decided to expand and launch Bighorn Express.
Now, we provide rides, deliveries, and personalized transportation services to both locals and visitors in the Idaho Springs area. From ski trips to grocery runs, Bighorn Express is here to make life easier for everyone in this mountain town.
